The attached patch to README.txt:

1. Cleans up the PHP code and corresponding comment for redirecting anonymous users after 403 in the README.txt.
2. Moves the "Configure the module" section after the "Configure Error Reporting" to avoid the message that you get if you do it in the opposite order.
3. Fixes a tiny typo (40 is now 404)

Thanks for the quick fix. I was going to edit the CustomError project page to put the same info in the "Redirecting upon login" section but I don't have access.
