The style worked on Linux, and Mac, and then on Windows, some custom CSS was being applied. Do we really need to be doing that?

I borrowed this particular logic from elsewhere so I don't know why it was needed. I can't test this right now as I don't have windows (and I don't have time to fire up VirtualBox). So it would help if you could answer your own question :)

Here's a screenshot of it on Windows and Linux with and without the patch, under Garland:

... It shouldn't be the module's job to apply the styling. Theme's should be doing that ;-) . Either that, or move those CSS styles into google_cse.css so they're applied under all platforms.
