I recently uploaded a new product photo to my site overwriting the older one. When I refreshed the page the new photo appeared as it should. Then, I went to another computer and went to the same page and saw the old product photo. When I refreshed the page the new photo appeared as it should. If visitors have been to this page before I can't expect them to know they have to refresh the page to see the new product photo. If I clear cache in the admin will that take care of it?

local cache
I think it has to do with local caching (in the browser).
Is the name of the new image the same as the old one? Maybe using a new name will help.
yes, name is the same. I did
yes, name is the same. I did that to minimize the work. perhaps it would be better to rename.
Browsercache
The browser thinks it's the same image and won't bother redownloading the file. Great stuff for speeding up webbrowsing, but in this case not that great...
