registered user cannot access site

I have one user that cannot access my site and i cant work out why. I have not changed his status at any point and no thers are having this issue (at least i have been told of any others) I can access his account from my ip so suspect it might be ip related. He has even been on to his internet provider (BTinternet) and they say it is not of their doing.

Can anyone advise where i might look?

logged in or out?

Can he reach your site when he is not logged in? Does he get an error message of some kind? Does it have to do with putting www in your URL or leaving that (www.example.com <--> example.com)?

he cannot access site at all,

he cannot access site at all, when he types in the url all he gets is the windows connection problem message with the "diagnose connection problem" He is the only one and reckons he has tried two laptops in his home but not joy. I can access no problem using his login details. I have asked him to ping the site but that fails. I looked at the hosts file and there is nothing there. I expect it is nothing to do with the site rather it is a firewall or malware issue?

Strange

Looks like it. It's only your site, or others as well?

seems to be only my site. The

seems to be only my site. The guy has been locked out for weeks now he has even been on to his isp but they were no help. He can access the web fine just not my site and he was one of the most prolific posters on there too.

You don't have a spam module

You don't have a spam module that's mistaken him for a spambot or anything silly like that have you?

Just curious as I was monitoring spam tokens on one of my sites and during a particularly heated discussion with a lot of posts flying quite rapidly a couple of users were getting dangerously close to being mistaken for spammers :)

no spam modules so another

no spam modules so another possibility ruled out. I am about to try a remote acces session to see if i can find the problem. Fingers crossed although its a bit of a long shot as i am not sure what i am looking for
