We have a site that is near completion, but current developer says he can not get Google Apps configuration to work.
The case is as follows:
Site owner is an educational institution. We're looking to use Google Apps for all staff + students, so we are talking about managing 1000s of accounts.
The Drupal site itself should also use the same account database for access and permissions to certain areas (forums, blogs, etc.)
Please send solution offers (with a description of what solution is offered), estimated time the implementation would take, availability and a quote to rene at v-r.bg
The developer will be free to contribute the solution developed to the community.
Thanks in advance.

Elaboration
do you already create accounts? if yes, where?(google application or drupal)
Drupal can authorize users via Google Application, but if you have create all users in Drupal installation it would be necessary to change password for all users, because Drupal save password hashes which can not be used for Google Appliaction accounts.
alexandr, only a handful,
alexandr,
only a handful, mostly test accounts have been created. changing passwords for these is no problem.
i believe the best way to create accounts in this setup is through google apps, as it offers uploading of xls files to batch created/modify/remove accounts.
Google Apps
Could you please mention the budget and time frame.
Thanks

madu, timeframe would be "as soon as possible, depending on your availability"
budgets are not fixed, am looking for offers :)
let me elaborate on that; there once was a module project that promised to do this. apparently, this module either does not work or has not been updated to the drupal 6 or both (or at least, this is what several drupal developers have told me, not being one myself, there's only so much i can check...)
there might still be a drupal module out there that i do not know about, which would make this an "install and configure" project. lacking that, there might be a way to tweak or update an existing module relatively easily or quickly.
in short; I'm not entirely sure what the possible technical solutions are and therefor it is kind of hard to fix a budget on this.
as a rule-of-thumb: not a top budget
but then again, you get to release all the work you ;)
hope this helps
