I found Artisteer last night, and it's the handiest theme editing tools i've found for any cms so far
Now that i've tested it, i have to say, this is something that should be included in any content management system by default.
How much easier can it be to design your own skins, people need these kind of tools.

I emailed Artisteer with some of my comments re: their limitations when it comes to Drupal.

They agreed that they 'need to do more work' to bring Artisteer up to the flexibility allowed by Drupal.

I didn't mean to put drupal down, i'm using it myself
I just think when i see something cool like Artisteer, something like that would be ideal in drupal, or any cms
I don't really want to go hard core and develope themes, so this is a great way to get a nice custom design fairly quick.

I think the real strength is behind its user interface enables users to far easier see how their changes affect the design of the site. Possibly there could be some themeing code generation module, along the lines of how zenophile enables code generation for the zen theme? Not sure if you could possibly go jQuery style to get a wysiwyg theme editor?
