I have followed all the instructions and reloaded the module and config files from scratch in the same way it worked fine for the previous version, but when my home page loads it just has a white band at the bottom of the page that reads bowob: ready from now
The chat works fine from www.bowob.com.
Can this be fixed?

iwkse commented8.8 here but still the same issue.
This happens with multi.
Setting to mono i get Chat plugin by BoWoB Chat for Drupal
But i can't see the chat bar.
Looking better in the tables i see bowob_type is empty.
drupal=# select * from drup_bowob_cfg;
bowob_type | bowob_value | bowob_time

tobiberlinSame here...
bowob commentedThe most common in this case is an configuration error in your module files.
1- Deactivate your module.
2- Go www.bowob.com and "Install".
3- Follow the instructions, downloading and overwritting all the files.
If the problem persists, use "Support" at www.bowob.com
Comment #6
iwkse commentedI already followed such steps but i still get the same
Comment #7
bowob commentedSo use "Support" at www.bowob.com, indicating your website address.
iwkse commented@tobiberlin are you using postgreSQL database?
tobiberlin@iwkse to be honest - don't know :-) think it is MySql if this respond fits :-)))
tobiberlinOk, I did it again - I deactivated and deleted all modules and files and used just the module and files found on bowob.com. I followed EVERY single step and nothing works. I will contact support now...
bowob commentedThere was an error with the "chat loader".
It has been solved in 8.9 version.
iwkse commentedStill doesn't work here.
tobiberlinIt doesn't work here either
Comment #14
tassoman commented8.9 doesn't works
Comment #15
tassoman commentedComment #16
bowob commentedWell, tell me your website address and I will check it.
edufol commentedHi,
Same here...
my website is www.decreixement.net
Comment #18
bowob commentededufol,
Your file "bowob_config.php" is wrong.
It means you have created a new room at bowob.com and you haven't updated that file.
1- Deactivate your module.
2- Go www.bowob.com and "Install".
3- Follow the instructions, downloading and overwritting all the files.
tobiberlinI still have this issues although I was told that there has been made some changes in the files - so I de-activated and re-installed everything but still nothing changed.
edufol commentedNow works fine!! thanks 4 this fantastic tool... also the installation is a bit complicated.
Thank u!
tobiberlinFor me it works fine now as well... thank you very much for your support!
bowob commentedtobiberlin can you tell to other users how have you fixed it ?
tobiberlinFirst the Bowob team just changed something on the files - another issue was that one had to use a username and password to enter my page which does not work for bowob chat. After deactivating this login for the whole website it worked
Comment #24
wayne57 commentedDoes that mean if your site is a members only site BOWOB wont work?
But one of the configurations is authenticated users only, thats a paradox!
Can someone explain why bowob is not seeing the server to allow it to work?
This module is still not working.
tobiberlinI used a .htaccess for authorization - it was not a Drupal login which was required. That might be the reason!
bowob commentedwayne57,
As said tobiberlin, the problem was a external (htaccess) authorization.
Bowob works fine for "members only site".
bbkz commentedHello
I get the same message.
I quickly checked the part printing out this message it is in bowob.module beginning on line 797:
Then i checked my database table bowob_cfg and i don't have any rows there, i think it may be related to the security issue. Which files does have to be accessable from a client and why?
Thanks
bbk
Comment #28
bbkz commentedsorry for my quick posting.
i tried with my other domain alias as i had a
öin my domain... i'll keep you informed if it really was this problem, but i think so.greetings

pacman2009 commentedDo I need to create account bowob.com to use this module? I installed this module, don't see any configuration settings. My page has "Chat" link added in the left side bar. If I click it, it brings up my home page. No chat options in the bottom of the page. I see "Chat plugin by BoWoB Chat for Drupal" in the footer. But, nothing else.
Initially I downloaded from drupal.org; After struggling with it, I read this post and deactivated the module, deleted the files, downloaded the files from bowob.com, installed again. Still the same thing.
Some people mentioned here "Go www.bowob.com and "Install"". There is no "Install" link in bowob.com page.
tobiberlinThere is a "Create your chat" link - just follow the instructions
Comment #31
pacman2009 commentedtobiberlin, thanks. Create your chat link works. I can see the "Chat" link in the left navigation bar now. If I click it, it opens the chat window in the new page. It has the theme I configured in bowob.com. All are good. But, I was thinking of using facebook style chat as shown in http://drupal.org/files/images/a_1.thumbnail.jpg. Even the demo at bowob (http://www.bowob.com/drupal/) shows the facebook style chat. I don't want to display the chat in a separate page, I want to show the chat just like facebook as shown in the demo. How do I achieve that? Thanks!
bowob commentedpacman2009,
When you are creating your chat at www.bowob.com, select "MultiPage" mode.
aw123456 commentedHi Bowob,
I have followed all the instructions and reloaded the module and config files from scratch in the same but when my home page loads it just has a white band at the bottom of the page that reads "bowob: ready from now" and chat not appear-
The chat works fine from www.bowob.com.
My site is www.tipete.com
Can this be fixed?
pacman2009 commentedI gave up on this and removed bowob module. If you want to display chat along with the content in the same page, there is no solution for now.
wayne57 commentedHas this issue been resolved yet?
I couple of months ago I uninstalled the module and then re-installed it, but still had the same problem.
I cant remember seeing instructions for overwritting all the files?
I thought un installing and reinstalling would overwrite anyway.
This is the only module that does not work for me. sad because it worked for a short while fine and stopped after the update.
It would be one of the top modules if it worked!!
newitt commentedHi, I have sent a support request for the same problem. I have installed and uninstalled, did not work? Can't wait to get this working.
newitt commentedI have installed this as well, sent a support request to bowob, however I have not heard anything in response. Has anyone got this to work and what did you do?
chagan commentedhi bowob
i am not able to still install the module please can u help me..........can any one write steps to install that module please.......
bowob commentedSolved in 8.12 version.
Mars2012 commentedI have download the file bowob_Drupal.zip, from www.bowob.com.
I installed the module and when I went to my web page to enable the module it says that it depends on user.
I have a fresh new instalation from Drupal on my local computer, which module is User?
I think this is a bug, because no new menu apperar in site configuration or site building, I don't where it supposes to appear because is the first time I install the bowob.
Can anyone tells me which module is the User and if anyone as the Bowob working. If so what I have to do?
I hope bowob can tell us what to do.
Thanks
Regards
Comment #41
bowob commented"user" is a drupal core module: "Manages the user registration and login system".
Mars2012 commentedThanks Bowob for the quick answer.
I noticed that I have a new menu in the navigation menu named chat. That's all.
I have installed Drupal 6.15.
Mars2012 commentedAnyone have this module working?
Before me the last comment was 5 January, I suppose this module is working.
I followed all the steps mentioned in the www.bowob.com.
When I install the module in my local web page the only thing I have is a menu in the navigation menu and two blocks which I can activate:
- Bowob login
- Bowob link
Once, one or both are activated I try to do something with them, but the only thing I got is my front page.
Where is the Facebook chat stylus bar?
Where is the menu to configure ALL the nice features mentioned in www.bowob.com?
I saw an support requests issue:
How to install in localhost???
This leads me to a last question:
Ok, this module dosen't work locally, why it's not said in the Drupal Bowob description?
And why the version 6.x-8.12 on Drupal web page is ready for production. This is not true.
Regards
Comment #44
bowob commentedTry with 6.x-8.13
Comment #45
Mars2012 commentedI suppose with the last Bowob version we stil can't use in local.
I'm still working locally.
I have installed the last version and the only thing I have is a menu (chat), which dosen't do nothing
So I'll keep an eye in the Bowob development and when I have my webpage online maybe I can say a litle more about this module.
Regards
Comment #46
bowob commentedBowob can't work localy, because the third party server needs to request your webserver.
