Description

I changed my username a short while ago and ever since then I've had a hell of a time over at g.d.o, now it looks like I am out entirely, I just get this error message:

The name Jeff Burnz is already registered. Please contact the site administrator.

But I am logged into d.o which is where I am redirected if I click the login link in g.d.o - cant see that I'm doing anything wrong here, is this documented - was I supposed to do something to update my stuff on g.d.o?

Did you create an account sync request? http://groups.drupal.org/node/add/account-synch

Jeff can this be marked fixed?

Na, I still get the same error.

Is it possible there is an account "Jeff Burnz" - I mean a duplicate account or something? Maybe some time ago I created one and forgot about it.

But right now I cant login g.d.o.

Very similar issue. On d.o I have been 'cat' user/4971 for years. And now on g.d.o it seems that "The name cat is already registered. Please contact the site administrator."
I did the account synch but it makes no difference.
I can't access d.g.o support pages, whether I'm logged in or not!!??

What's the proper way to address this? Whom to write, without trying all the d.g.o admins? :)

Switching projects, this is not getting any attention here so I think it must be in the wrong place.

I think this might all stem from a duplicate account I created on d.o some 3 years ago and totally forgot about:

http://drupal.org/user/88456

I always logged into g.d.o with my "drupal.org" credentials, but perhaps I was logging in with that "other" accounts credentials all this time and never really realized it... doh...

So, what if we delete the above account, will I then be able to log into g.d.o with my normal account? I believe when I created the sync it failed because now two d.o users are both pointing at the same g.d.o account and the old account is taking precedence?

It appears you had 3 accounts on g.d.o ;)

Is there something I have to do here because this is what I see when I visit any g.d.o page, including the user account you linked to, see attachment please.

Maybe I just don't get something here, oh lord this is driving me nuts :)

Somehow they fell out of synch (did you change your e-mail address on d.o?). I've synched them again.

Awesome - I'm back! Thank-you so much greggles, much appreciated :)

Yes I did change my email on d.o, that was some time ago now, but certainly within the last few months.
