What is the BEST buddylist module in 6.x?
Hi,
I have a small community site running on 5.x and Buddylist module. I will soon upgrade to 6.x, so I need to choose the appropriate module to replace Buddylist. As I notice there are quite a few: User Relationships, FriendsList, Flag Friends etc
Please help to choose!
Most important features that I need:
* Easy import of data from Buddylist 5.x module. In 5.x version it was a 2-way relationship of "Friends", which now need to be ported into 1-way "Follower" relationship. If the other person follows him too, then they become "Mutual-followers", which is another relationship type.
* Good integration in terms of content-privacy and profile-privacy:
--- Visible to all,
--- Visible only to my followers,
--- Visible only to my mutual-followers
* ability for users to tag and thus to construct their own "Lists" of friends, like we see on Facebook (hopefully through some user-friendly AJAX). The original Buddylist had this functionality, albeit in a very primitive form.
* The "Contacts" section must function as a sort of e-Addressbook -- with alphabetical listings, and re-orderable listings (so I guess a good integration with Views and Content Profile is essential).
* Good integration with other social-networking utilities like Private messaging, Invite etc
My instinct at the moment is to go with FriendsList module. But it is still in .dev
Would anyone advise me to go with any other buddylist module in 6.x ?
Many thanks in advance!

If you go with User Relationships, there is a converter from Buddylist in D5 (so you'd convert in D5 before upgrading). UR is a very powerful module that works well with lots of other modules.
Flag Friend is a good module if you don't need a ton of features. I don't personally use it, so I don't know if it has any sort of converter from buddylist.
Friendlist duplicated User Relationships and claimed to be better but it has a much smaller userbase than UR and development keeps halting.
All the other "friend" modules seem to have fallen by the wayside so it's really down to just UR or FF.

I'm looking for folks to help me out by posting in my Coulee Region forums. You don't need to live in the area; there's plenty of general forums. But please, no Drupal support questions. :)
