I am using the slider module ( http://drupal.org/project/slider ) to have a JQuery 'slide' feature on the homepage of one of my sites. There are instructions for setting the sort order using 'views' in the readme.txt file. I have followed those directions and that works great. However, what I really want is to have the slides displayed in random order each time the page is refreshed. If I use the method in the readme.txt and set the view's sort order to sort randomly, the slides are listed randomly on the slide edit page each time I refresh but that only determines the order while editing the slide page. It does not allow me to set the slides to be displayed randomly when the page is viewed.
Does anyone have experience or any thoughts about how I can accomplish this?
