Dear Developers,

Harvard's Center for Middle Eastern Studies is looking for an experienced developer to help us upgrade our site from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6.

The primary goal for CMES is to upgrade its Drupal site from 5 to 6, using the Acquia Drupal 6 installation. The current site has a custom theme with CMES branding, and it will need to be ported to the Drupal 6 installation. There are two custom modules in place on the Drupal 5 site. For the custom modules, we would like to first be advised if they could be replaced with an already existing and vetted module from the Drupal community. Ultimately, we would like the CMES Drupal 6 site to maintain the current look and feel.

The RFP and a list of modules are available online here http://cmes.hmdc.harvard.edu/drupalupgrade.

Clarifications will be posted to this thread for the edification of other interested developers.

Thank you,
Davin Schnappauf

David -

The RFP lists a timetable with elapsed dates from earlier this year.

Also, the modules list is for D5.x. There are likely to be better alternatives for the Acquia D6 mentioned in your posting.

Can you provide an update timetable? Will you provide guidance on modules used or would you like recommendations from us?

Thanks

Hi Everyone,
The incorrect RFP was listed on the CMES site. The link has been corrected, please make sure the RFP file you have is named RFP Upgrade CMES website from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6_9-30.pdf, not Drupal_RFP.pdf.

Also, please note that I would like to see a formal proposal.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your responses. We have decided to extend our search to 11/13/09, so please feel free to submit proposals until that date.
