The module package of search_files has a subdirectory modules, containing the modules search_attachments and search_directories. The subdirectory and the modules are missing after 'drush dl search_files'.

Note that I run the command in a multisite environment based on subdirectories. So I run it for instance in sites/domain.com.directory as working directory.

I don't know if this is an issue of drush or may be a problem with the search_files package.

there should be no modules directory in the 6.x-1.x branch -- the search attachments module wasn't combined with search files and the search directories module wasn't split out of search files until the 2.x branch.
