If you want the same actions for the same triggers for every node type covered by your workflow, and you have many node types, then the action assignment form is extremely painful to use.

Can the module please implement an additional generic set of triggers that apply to all nodes subject to that workflow?

e.g. "When any node moves from Workflow: (creation) to Workflow: Live"

Simply put: Action system sucks. If you really want to have flexible actions, use Rules module together together with #370111: Rules integration for Workflow
Also, Workflow is almost unmaintained. So it's much better to use what is already available than wait forever.
