I was playing on your demo site... got hooked. Got all the way up to level 11 and over 20K points before I decided I'm better call it quits and let it end. Only to get this message:
Congratulations. You got the best score. If you were logged in your score would have been recorded!
Ack, you're killing me! I don't even get to type my name in? That's just cruel... :P

I see what you mean. Maybe should allow for anon as the username if anonymous wins. But then again some people might like it that anonymous dont have there name saved as it would encourage people to create an account on there site.

Couple suggestions:
1) Put a note at the start that your score won't be recorded if you aren't logged in.
2) Make an option for the site owner as to whether they want to record scores from anonymous.
