As a desperate webmastering newbie, with no money to spare to hire tech support, but many Drupal questions, I've decided to make use of one of my other skills in order to earn technical help.

I've been a rapper (MC) since 1993, in addition to writing lyrics for R&B, Island, Pop, and even Country songs.

If anyone's willing to give me tech support, I'll write you a few rap lyrics on the topic of your choice, IF I have any knowledge of your topic (meaning don't ask me to write about the process of enriching uranium for use by nuclear power plants, or whatever).
I reserve copyrights to all lyrics.
This is just for fun.

Right now I need help with this.

Name 3 topics, and if your tech advice works, I'll choose 1 and write about it.

I can't believe I have to resort to this.

Sorry, haven't played w/ CiviCRM, so can't help you there. But here's a crappy uranium enrichment rap in case you need it. All rights reserved of course...

If you got a problem with your cranium,
and you want to enrich uranium,
hydrofluoric acid and uranium oxide,
are two things you'll need on your side.
Mixed together gives uranium tetrafluoride.

Turn this to a gas,
and spin it real fast,
don't do too much,
or it will reach critical mass.

A quick clarification -- he did point specifically to the post he needs help on. It looks like he's trying to install CivicCRM on a stock Drupal 4.6, rather than CivicSpace. A couple people are giving it a shot, but if you know anything about CCRM and can spare a moment, check the thread.

I don't know CivicCRM, alas -- this is easily the most awesometastic barter offer I have ever seen online. Someone! Go! Help this man! Get a rap song! :D

Yes, I noticed that when re-reading his post, but not soon enough :) I'll see if I can help, even though I don't do CiviCRM.

I thought it was hilarious.

Devill,
it is well known that civicrm is hard to integrate with Drupal, and is too hard for newcomers. Suggest you start over with civicspace and import data. (hey, if that works...)

niosop,
it's funny that you would actually write some lyrics about enriching uranium.
No seriously that was funny. Cool. LOL

edrupalec,
I was under the impression that CiviCRM was compatible with Drupal without installing CivicSpace. Was I wrong?
Actually I recently wanted to install CivicSpace, but this is the first time I've ever done any webmastering, and my Drupal was installed on my cPanel through Fantastico around the beginning of last month, so I really don't know how to take one out and replace it with the other. I thought it would just be easier to add CiviCRM onto my Drupal site. Boy, was I wrong. LOL

BTW, this rap-for-tech-support trade off is beginning to look like a bad idea fast. But insomnia tends to mess with your head.
Oh, and the deal is for 8 lines of lyrics. Not a whole song.
I don't even want contemplate writing an entire rap song about the price of rice in China.

do you have any data? if you don't, get an account at opensourcehost. ask them to install civicspace for you. just start over
by the way civicrm may not be what you want. it's NOT for social networking. it's for managing clients and donors.

I don't have any data, but I have a lot of modules that I already installed and configured.
If I had to start fresh with a CiviCSpace site, I don't know if I'll have enough time to redo the modules by the time my site needs to be launched.
So I'm trying to just install the CiviCRM onto my Drupal site and move on.

If I create a new site for a different project, I'll probably start it off with CivicSpace.

BTW, the site I'm working on is dedicated to my local entertainment industry. I'm using the Organic Groups module to create fanclubs, and the GoJoinGo module for networking, but I also plan to sell products and advertising and raise money for children's charities, so I want to install CiviCRM for that.

Thanks for everyone's help so far.
