Relationship module

I've installed the user relationship module and enabled UR-API, U-Blocks, UR-Defaults, UR-Elaborations, UR-Implications, UR-Mailer, UR-Node Access, UR-UI

Then went to User management-Relationships and added type:

ADD TYPE
Name:Friend
Plural:Friends
Yes to Requires approval
Request expires in 10 days

IN SETTINGS:
Checked all under general

IN PERMISSIONS
enabled:
User_relationships_api module
can have relationships

User_relationships_ui module
maintain own relationships
view user relationships

After which I did this i created a new user to see if module was working but no friend link appeared under Relationship Actions, I can't think of anything. I'm following instruction from the book Drupal 6: Social networking, any suggestions of what might be going wrong?
