While trying to install Drupal, the program gets through most of the install routine and then craps out at the same spot everytime. Does anyone know that causes this problem??? Check out this image:

I get this same error on update.php. This first happened after making my site secure with SSL, and adding the module Smart Menus/Tabs. I've since uninstalled this module, but I still receive the error. I recently updated the weather module, which appears to be updated (update status reports no problems) but still receive the intial error upon update.php. The following error page then reads,

"The update process was aborted prematurely while running update #6504 in weather.module. All errors have been logged. You may need to check the watchdog database table manually."

Cron completes. When I check the logs, there's an entry of type "update" without any exclamation next to it, and like stated above, the update does actually appear to have worked as the Available Update page shows everything up to date.

So why can't I run update.php? Any ideas?
