Just trolling for opinions/experiences regarding this.
Several of my site's taxonomy/term/nn pages' default lists of nodes associated with the particular term don't really do it for stakeholders. To pretty things up, I have created nodes for those particular instances and use url path alias to display the node when the taxonomy/term/nn URL is accessed. (in short, I'm displaying a statically coded node instead of the system generated taxonomy/term page)
One plus is (non-tech) content contributors can get at those nodes and edit them. (telling them to edit a View might make their heads explode and they definitely don't have access to edit and upload a page-taxonomy-term-nn.tpl.php file)
Have other people adopted this approach at all? Learnings, misgivings? I searched forum topics but I could only find "how do I" issues rather than "should I adopt this approach" entries.
