how do i.... articles

hi,

i am making good progress with my drupal after 2 pots of coffee and several hours of sleep deprivation.

i want to have an article portal or center, where visitors can see a list of all articles, and browse and read them.

i am using drup 6.x. is there something like that built right into the system or do i need to download an extra module?

p.s.

an example would be an FAQ/help file, 3rd party links, etc.

Views and panels are everywhere. This do frontpage article is just one example of views in action.
