naught101 commentedhttp://drupal.org/node/548146 as noted here, some of this functionality may be possible to emulate using a buch of contrib modules, however I feel like it's important enough to be in core.

Bojhan commentedSadly given that we are in feature freeze it doesn't seem right to have this request at this moment of time, its far to impacting on the system.

avpadernoI am changing the component for the issues using admin.module.

mo6Also, it would be very useful to extend this log with an audit of updates made to the system, e.g. module / core updates, changes in the block configuration / views, etc. This could be handled by the watchdog module, expect that these kinds of logs should be persistent. Furthermore, an API should be available (again already present in watchdog) for modules to hook in the audit.

smustgrave commentedThank you for sharing your idea for improving Drupal.
We are working to decide if this proposal meets the Criteria for evaluating proposed changes. There hasn't been any discussion here for over 8 years which suggests that this has either been implemented or there is no community support. Your thoughts on this will allow a decision to be made.
Since we need more information to move forward with this issue, the status is now Postponed (maintainer needs more info). If we don't receive additional information to help with the issue, it may be closed after three months.
Thanks!

smustgrave commentedBelieve https://www.drupal.org/project/config_log should cover this. Since there's been no follow up not sure this is needed directly for core.
Thanks all!
