I'm building a website for a company who with their old system uses\ barcodes to track people who come to their networking events. Right now they dump the user list of their website into a program that generates the barcodes, copy a zip file into a folder on the server, unpack it, and each user profile then has a picture of a barcode that user can print out to bring to the party.

Is there a way to make one barcode for each user based on user id (uid)? Then can I attach that barcode to the cck node event so each person can print out the information about the event with the barcode at the bottom?

I'm sure if someone could do this it would be a paid job.

Your request have two parts, one is UID Barcode, and the second part is User Interface related design/dev for "attach" user's barcode to a CCK node. I don't think this specific request is much useful for other people. So, the barcode module won't include those features.
