Hi there,

I just installed Logintoboggan on a test site,

Configured the options to:

use two email fields: yes
select password: yes
login automatically: yes
overwrite drupal paths: yes

I created a pre-auth user which as not really more rights than the anonymous user, and selected that role in the logintoboggan setup.

Created a couple of test users and every time I click to the %login_url link, it gets me to the login form,.. I login with the new user, and the role does not change!!

I tested like 4 times and every time the role does not pass from pre-auth to auth after confirmation.

Any ideas where to look for that?

version: 4.6

Just to follow up,
I reinstalled the whole module, reassigned persmission, etc...

But I don't know whu everything owrks just fine except that the user role won't change once I click on the verification link in the email and then log in to the site.

I can log in and all, all forms are redirected to the login toboggan ones, but, the user does not automatically transforms himself into a autheticated user, it stays in pre-auth.

please advice, some ideas what to check out?

Thanks

Is this so obvious that no one even takes a second to help me? hehe

Because if it so obvious I really don't know what the problem could be.

1) I installed the module
2)Assigned a new role = pre auth
3) configured the module with pre aut selected as pre auth role
4)all the forms work
5) the email il sent just fine WITH the user chosen password
6) when a person clicks the activation button, she is still in the same pre auth role even if she logs out and login again...

I use the variable url_login in the email is it the right value to use?

The confirmation email link point to the user login page from logintoboggan, I guess that's the right page?

I'm really confused as I have no idea why the pre-auth doesn't transform itself in a auth user...

Please, please advice!

ps. I also tried reinstalling the module to make sure I have the 4.6...

I have version 1.7.4.15

thanks for the help

the module maintainer isn't responding, and i'm afraid i don't have time to look into this right now. you're going to have to practice some patience, or possibly find some paid help if it's an emergency... :)

i will look into this issue, but it will probably be a few weeks. sorry i can't be of more help right now.

Please read the documentation under admin/help/logintoboggan.

Under 4.6, you need to change the welcome e-mail to include the validation URL. Clicking the login link will only log the user in, it won't validate their account.
