User Authentication According to User Roles?

Hello everyone,

Drupal is up and running, i am in process of running a site which will stream live sports obviously this requires url authentication, so i installed the http auth module and also installed the i LM paypal module. So what i am looking for is pretty much straight forward, i have an icecast server running what i want to do is when a user makes a payment using LM Paypal module they can automaticall(or i can do it manually) put them under a role called "subscribed". Then a menu link will only show to the subscribed members called "view streams" where they can click and once again have to log-in this is where the authentication will check if the user is verified paid subscriber or not.

This is kind of confusing but feel free to ask question i really need to get this up and running,
