Hey guys with your help i've some how managed to get my site up and running. It's a tennis site where I blog about what goes on in the tennis world and update people on the news and the scores. The only problem I have at the current moment is the discoloration of the buttons if your a member of my site all the coloring is there it's just when your visiting my site and it asks you to register or login to comment or something there is like a bit of gray that shows.

Thanks In advanced

Hi,
Where's the link or address for your site.

lol sorry about that. Can't believe I didn't provide a link the site.

I like the use of green. You may want to think about how much advertising you want.

:)

Cayenne what do you mean by that?

Just seems like a lot of ads. But it's a nice site

It is really difficult to achieve a good looking site with green colors. Congratulations.

I also think there are too many ads in the site, maybe you should concentrate them in one sidebar or maybe configure the blocks so they appear in different pages or sections (e.g. the racquet advertisement in equipment review section).

How did you achieve the one line loggin? module or code?
if its code, could you post the snnipet??

Very nice look-- right up until clicking the "forum" link. :-(

I would seriously consider using core forum + advanced_forum unless you're planning to do some complex moderation scheme. There's nothing that screams more "i'm not sure i know what i'm doing" louder than bolting a completely differently themed phpbb site onto a drupal site.

Its a shame really-- because the design with greens, as the other poster mentioned, is pretty nice.

I really don't like the Drupal Forum look. So that is why I went with the phpbb forum. I could change the color of it to make it go with my theme a little better. But you guys I am not a big fan of green and I managed to try to make it look decent.

What do you suggest I do about the Forum thing. As I said I really don't like the drupal forum, it doesn't offer what i really want. Should I just go with V- Bulletin? would that make it better?

Have you seen core forum with the advanced_forum contributed module? You can see a sample at http://www.shellsn.com/forum but there's other styles available. imo whatever third party forum you use it will always feel "bolted on" and most require a significant effort to make the theme blend but ymmv.

Actually your right I do feel like it is bolted on. Actually advanced_forum didn't look to bad from the sample you provided. I will definitely check it out. Even if I used V-Bulletin it would basically have the same feel as well. Thanks everybody for your comments it really helped me change little odd and end things.
