I'd love to see a comment being rated simply as: Good or Bad, Useful or Not useful, True or False, For or Against etc.
As I see it, a rating could be shown as follows:
(For) 10 voters (Against) 5 voters
More like a simple counter. Thank you!

vm commentedThis can be done with 2 stars, and altered graphics. ie: thumbs up, thumbs down.

Timur5 commentedNope, I thought this way too, but then it is not going to work.
With 2 stars (let's change it to thumbs) you'll have an average vote displayed of either 1 star = thumbs up or 2 stars = thumbs down.
But, the point is not to summarize, e.g. find out the average of thumbs and whichever one wins, but rather to see HOW MANY voters supported the comment and HOW MANY don't support it.
This sway, we don't make conclusions instead of users, but rather give them a choice to decide whether:
a comment with
50 thumbs up vs 1 thumbs down = Thumbs up
and
50 thumbs up vs 41 thumbs down = still Thumbs up
But the quality is different, as you can see. With 2 star voting it would be impossible to tell the difference.
Do you see what I mean?

vm commentedthere are other voting mechanisms in the downloads area that may be worth investigating that work with voting api.
decisions.module advancedpoll.module and the like which may give you what you need or may open up the ability you seek.

dddave commented@ Timur5: Explore the pollfield module.

Richard Blackborder commentedThis change cannot be made to this module, which is an extension of Fivestar and so uses its voting structure. You will need to use another module for this.
