Hey there Cesar! You are in luck - I'm just getting ready to release a new version of the module that uses nodes for the individual updates. This means that you will be able to use CCK/Taxonomy/Drupal APIs to extend the updates by adding pictures, vocabularies, etc. I'll drop a line here when something is ready to test out.
