Oh my computer, at 1024x768 when the browser is not maximized I can't see the "Support" and "Handbooks" tabs. They are hidden by the Drupal logo. At first I thought they were removed. If I had been a first time visitor I would have decided that there was no documentation available. I only figured out what happened because I went to #drupal and we spent some time trying to figure out what was happening. Most visitors wouldn't invest that much time (they wouldn't even know that there was a handbook). For this reason, this bug will be under-reported. This bug is also important because the links that are hidden are the most important ones.
Thank you for your work.
Cheers,
Daniel.

nedjoConfirmed and agreed that this is a problem worth addressing.
We could consider:
(a) Reduce the number of primary links. 'contact' might be one that could go. 'community' is nice but perhaps could also be moved to a different kind of link.
(b) Change the order so that the left-hand two are less important.
(c) Change the design so that tabs bump up rather than down?

karldied commentedI recommend consolidating the "Community" tab into the "Support" tab.
The entire right side of the community tab "Local communities" section duplicates the support tab "Other languages" section, except that they're slightly out of sync due to maintaining the same information in multiple locations.
The Community tab, section "Drupal.org," a list of five links, is mostly covered by the Support tab "Forums" and "Mailing list" sections. Others could be shifted over easily.
The short Community tab "Web watch" section could be directly moved to the Support tab.
Finally, the even shorter Community tab "Tags" section could either be directly moved to the Support tab or covered in the documentation handbook if deemed more appropriate.

sepeck commentedThe problem is Community does not mean Support. The Community tab was added when it was pointed out that we had no top level location that was appropriate to indicate other community sites.
