I have a Drupal website at hiphopco-op.com. I love Drupal and everything works great except that I can't get Google to index the site, not a single page.

Both Yahoo and MSN have picked it up but I have had no luck at all with Google. I'm worried that it is a configuration problem because I ran the Sitemaps module on this site and the Google sitemaps site tells me I have HTTP errors.

Has anyone else had this issue? I realize that there aren't many incoming links to this site but I've had other sites that have been picked up by Google with no incoming links at all.

Another question is how can I get Search Engine spiders to read the content first and not the calendar on the top left. Right now, this is what displays as a result when you do a search on Yahoo or MSN for my site:

"April 2006 Su Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 ."

I recently added some sitewide META description tags and hope that the SEs will pick those up instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We thought the same thing for awhile, then added gsitemap module. Works quite well and google started picking us up immediately.

Traveling far and wide extends ones - self....
As in a mule traveling to the end of the field only returning as a mule, and not a horse.

Our domain muslimin.org did not get Googled for about 5 months whereas Yahoo did great job right from the beginning.

Check with Google - try searching yourdomain.com and site:yourdomain.com

See where yourdomain.com is referred, you can also showcase your site at Drupal.org :)

You can jpoin the Google discussion forum and ask the guys to have a look at your domain, find out why. As for us, there was a previous owner of a .com and .net who wanted to have .org as well, but we are the owner of .org now, so Google guys (yes, human) did something and our site gets Googled.

With Drupal, almost everything is Google friendly, and our site gets consistent 1st page on SERPS for relevant searches and almost-near searches.
