change Sidebars color??

Hello, I know it's a banal question, but I'm trying to change background color of sidebars and can't succeed in doin' it! Where do I go and change it? I'have already done it on another tapestry css I was using, but now I can't seem to find out where to put the background-color rule....
any help would be really really appreciated!!! tks!!
