Possible to add option for expanding Advanced Search?

Just found this module and installed. It is very nice and adds quite useful features. Thank you for that.

Was wondering if there could be option for permanently expanding Advanced Search? One the search page, seems silly to have the default be for the fieldset to be collapsed when there is so much empty space.

I've been trying to find a way to do this and appears not so easy for non-programmers. Among the several pages I've found that discuss it - none of the template.php, other proposed solutions have worked for me.

But it seems like something a lot of people would like to do as I am not the first to ask the question.
