Problem saving views with a node type filter

I've created a view and positioned this in a block, however, when I try to apply a filter (either to the default or to the block) the "Save" button is disabled.

I created 2 content types ("notices" and "nonmembernotices") and created a node of each type.

I then created a view of node type and I can see the new content types in the tick box list but when selecting them it doesn't save.

I did manage to create the view OK by exporting, editing the filter spec to "notices" and then importing the view and this works.

Any suggestions as to why this will not apply via the GUI?

Not sure if this is relevant but I also can't remove fields from the display, I can add fields OK and change list styling and such like
