Request to become the new maintainer

Description

This project seems to have been abandoned by the maintainers. I would like to be granted CVS access so I can apply the patches in the queue and make a new release. This is a critical module for a lot of people and it's a real shame that it isn't getting the love it deserves.

Allow me to become maintainer and I will do my best to clear the queue and get these critical patches applied. I will also ensure this module has a full release for when D7 lands.

Have you tried to contact the maintainers in other ways?

You are absolutely right that this module needs more love and care. I would love to help however I can with my limited programming knowledge.

I haven't as yet tried alternative means of contact. I was going to wait 2 weeks and see if anyone replied.

Module needs no Drupal 7 release as it's included in core now.

@psynaptic: Hey just wanted to let you know I got approved as a co-maintainer and I'm plowing through the existing issues today to get a new release out. I'm more than welcome to patches. :)
