Hi,
I needed a Google map for my website in the "where we are" page, with just the possibility to get directions.
I tried the Gmap + Location modules, but they are too heavy for my needs, therefore I have decided to use the Google API.
I am not a programmer, therefore I followed the instructions provided by Google and added a code snipped I found on another website to create a "Get Directions" window.
I use the Garland them, with Belgian Chocoade color scheme.
I copied the HTML in a "page" content type, used FULL HTML and everything is working fine, but... first the code:
Get Directions to my company
Start address:
I did this on my desktop, with a 19" screen, then I checked how it displayed in my Thinkpad (15") and surprisingly, the map did not fit the screen, I mean the size 753x480 remains the same, this is only the map, it just doesn't resize according to the screen displaying it.
As I said, I am not a programmer therefore is difficult for me to say what the above snippet misses, or is it due to something else?
In addition, would you please tell me how to add the following:
1) Bottom right of the map, I'd like the "Overview" function so that the user can move the map on a wider scale.
2) When the map is moved around, how can I get a "reset" button that brings it back to the center?
3) How to add extra info to the balloon? At the moment only the address appears, but I'd like to add my company name.
Thank you for your help!
Alex

I realize this must be a page design problem
I realize this must be a page design problem, applying the Google Map code is not enough, I tried to change both width and height to 100%, I got the width to display correctly on both PCs but the height is showing partially, also on both PCs, therefore I am in a dead end.
Can anybody help, please?
Thank you
Alex
