Do you plan to make a new version of 'signup_restrict_by_role' using the new signup api ?

Actually when I use signup_restrict_by_role on the event content type anything happend. No database record are wrote.

Please see commit #461612 - I have addressed a bunch of these issues, and I believe that it's working as intended now.
