Hallo,

where can I find a translation for a special module (in my case I'm looking for a german translation for the book review module)?

Inside the module directory, look for a directory called 'po'. That's the place where module translations are stored. In your case, you want the file "de.po". If it exists, it should be in the po directory. If it's not there, the translation is not available.
