I upgraded from 6.13 to 6.14 but I get this error message when I go to the site:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare e11u() (previously declared in /home/bloom/public_html/index.php(1) : eval()'d code:1) in /home/bloom/public_html/sites/default/settings.php(1) : eval()'d code on line 1
I have reinstalled the backup of the previous version and the DB backup, apparently successfully, but the error message is the same.
Advice much appreciated.

compare your settings.php with a new one coming from a 6.14 download.
ensure to clear your cache tables
thanks
I did these things and others. Am able to temporarily fix things by replacing the settings file and the contents of the includes directory. But within a few hours they are corrupted again. Guess I have been hacked and upgrading to 6.14 hasn't fixed it. Will post again re the hack.

I would replace all files and folders, deleting the old first
I'd also change all FTP passwords and the drupal adminstration password.
