I've noticed no commits for 19 weeks. This is a great idea - just wanted to see how much oxygen is in the tank :)

dankohn commentedMore to the point, there's a lot of demand for this module. If one or more people would like to step up as maintainers (of either this module or a fork), there are likely several users (including myself), who would contribute some funding.
akahn commentedYep, serious demand. This module could use a lot of work and seems to have 0 attention from its maintainers.

gallamine commentedPerhaps Dave Cohen (http://drupal.org/user/18468) with the Drupal for Facebook project (http://drupal.org/project/fb) would be interested in merging things?

HS commentedNothing happening here eh?

nirad commentedsubscribing.
Facebook Connect functionality is desired and even expected by many companies & clients. Lack of a properly functioning implementation has become a liability for Drupal. I personally have several projects that need this. I'd offer to help, but I doubt I'd be much use in this capacity (my background is as a designer). I'm hoping that the Gigya Socialize project has a release version soon.

nirad commentedVectoroc appears to be doing the most work on this module. Perhaps he can get maintainer privileges?
gallamine commentedVishal Sood's module (http://www.vishalsood.com/projects/drupal/facebook) has been working great for me. He's pretty response to support requests too.

nirad commentedToo many forks:
http://github.com/voxpelli/drupal-fbconnect
http://www.vishalsood.com/projects/drupal/facebook
Perhaps they can be reconciled?

BenK commentedJust keeping track of the links on this thread...

quicksketchJust some notables:
- vectoroc is a maintainer now (see #653022: Request to take over Facebook Connect). His last commit was a week ago.
- The last release was within 2 months
- The Facebook project by Dave Cohen is excellent but it fills a different goal than this project. It is intended for creating Facebook applications, not for integrating a site with Built-in Facebook features like Connect, commenting, wall posts, friend lists, etc.
I think this issue can be marked fixed, considering the project clearly has a direction again.
