I have Pathauto turned on, and works fine... But I've noticed that when I have node title:
"Polska stacza sie na dno"
it di alias like this: "polska-stacza-sie na-dno"

Notice that space left after 3rd word. I don't understand this depands on word/charachter numbers that this leaves one space in the middle?

This does not produce any error, however pathauto settings warns about that possibility and I guess it was not meant to leave any space not change into "-"

Tried that same node title with a 'content/[node-title]' alias pattern and it worked just fine. Please re-open if you can confirm using the latest code.
