My admin is messed up. I de-installed it (not only deselecting also de-installing, flushed all cache tables in phpmyadmin etc etc).

Somehow the menu is showing the wrong things, like OG twice, admin/settings/admin_menu is not shown in dropdownmenu (in the standard admin menu (block) the admin/settings/admin_menu is shown). I use this module in a multisitesetup, only this site has some issues. The content on the site is set up with Backup/Migrate. So, i think the mistake is somewhere in the database.

I read something about a clean & wipe function, but i can't find this .. what is the most effective way to clean my installation?

The "wipe and rebuild" button for admin_menu is at Site Config > Admin Menu and may solve your issue.

I don't have a "wipe & rebuild" option.

On the config page, I see:
-adjust top margin
- keep menu at top
- collapse fieldsets
- move local tasks
- devel options

No wipe & rebuild...

Also, I can't delete the administation menu, because of an error message "the menu name may not contain spaces etc.". So now Im stuk with an undeletable menu, and no wipe & rebuild.

Sun, why is this one a duplicated of http://drupal.org/node/420816 ? What would be the search term you would search for in order to lead you to #420816 when experiencing the above mentioned issue?

I had this same issue, I just unpublished Administration module "Administration menu Toolbar style" and the problem was solved, then I publish it again. No issue now.

same problem, no wipe and rebuild option, and disabling "Administration menu Toolbar style" had no effect

my admin menu is missing the 'create content' menu link and it's sub links for creating new nodes

I had the "Content" link appear twice in my Administration menu, one with sub-links and one without. Disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling Administration menu fixed it.
