Issue Assigning Role to Discount Rule
Please forgive me if this a really stupid question, but I have searched high and low for the solution (this forum, ubercart forum, general websearch, module bug list etc)
We are using Ubercart for our store and I would like to set a discount rule that only applies to a user of a certain role.
The problem I have is that I check the "filter based on roles." check box - but can't see where I select the role that I want....
I can't save as I receive the message "Roles are required because 'Filter based on roles' is checked"
I know that this is a silly thing - and I apologise (I have inherited a site and trying very quickly to learn what I can about drupal/ubercart) - am I missing a module or something?
We have the uc_discounts module installed.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be eternally grateful.
Many thanks
Beki

uc_discounts
UC Discounts has its own page here: http://drupal.org/project/uc_discounts
Moreover UC Discount Framework is a bit better supported: http://drupal.org/project/uc_discount
Many thanks, I had searched
Many thanks, I had searched through here and couldn't find anyone else with the issue - so assume it is something wrong with my setup :(
Trying to work with what I have at the moment - so see that moving from uc_discounts to uc_discount would be better - just don't want to 'break' anything until I have a better understanding of what I am doing.
Thanks for replying.
Having same issue
This must be more common than we thought because I have the same exact problem with uc_discounts_alt. There is a check box for "filter by role" but nowhere else to specify the role, and if you save it you receive an error telling you that you still need to specify the role. Since this mod piggy backs with multiple other mods, I am thinking there is somewhere else besides "discount settings" where this is present?
Ah, WEB Development.
Sigh.
It is good to know it is not
It is good to know it is not just me then! Have been going around in circles and still not come to a resolution.
If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful.
