location module - proximity alongside normal search?

Hi,

This is possibly a stupid question, but i've not managed to find any mention of it so far..

I'd like users to search for a service, and the results to be presented ordered by proximity to a postcode - i.e. "dentist" and "EH8 ###" etc.

Is this possible with the location/proximity module (and gmaps etc)? i'm guessing it must be, but just thought i'd check before offering it! any examples i've looked at so far haven't included the keyword search element, i.e. they order by proximity but the listed nodes have been predetermined.
