Sort posts into Categories, how do i fix it?

Good evening!

My problem is that I have categories that I fixed today but the problem is a few thousand of my posts are not in categories at all.

What would be the quickest way to get them in their categories because if I have to go and open each post manually it would take months to finish :/

I am running Drupal 6

Any help would be great!

http://drupal.org/project/views_bulk_operations is also very helpful for applying bulk changes to multiple nodes.
