This release reverts the fix from https://www.drupal.org/project/commerce/issues/3180541 which introduced regressions.

This is the last 2.x release, compatible both with Drupal 8.x and Drupal 9.x. The next 2.29 release is going to be compatible only with D9.

Long in coming, this release of Commerce Core 1.x resolves many longstanding issues with a focus on performance, PHP 7.4 compatibility, and various quality of life improvements.

Summary

• Added cart expiration (delete abandoned carts after a configured number of days)
• Promotion start/end dates now have a time component as well
• Reworked timezone handling for promotions and taxes
• Reworked Views integration for base fields, fixing over a dozen issues

This is the last release to support Drupal 8.6 and PHP 5. From next release Drupal 8.7 and PHP 7 will be required.

This release requires Address 1.7 and Profile 1.0.
If your site is running Commerce Shipping, you will need to update it to 2.0-beta7.
If your site is running Commerce Authorize.Net, you will need to update it to 1.2.

Now compatible with PHP 7.3. Requires Address 1.6 and Entity API 1.0-rc2

Thanks to Inline Entity Form 8.x-1.0-rc1, there is now a Duplicate button for variations.

Changes since 8.x-2.2:

This release includes a variety of improvements related to performance and scalability, PHP 7 support, and more. We've also satisfied a long time feature request by allowing developers to change their product pricing strategy to use code to directly manipulate product prices. (Previously you could only manipulate prices via Rules.) New features also include a "placed" timestamp, cart provider plugins (allowing for sessionless shopping carts), and currency formatting / credit card validation updates all backported from Commerce 2.x.

This replaces the tax code that was removed before beta1, rewritten for optimal performance and more features.
