Issue Summary
I am unable to remove unpublished node, there is error message that unpublished on is in past.

Is that a special kind of node? I can delete unpublished regular story nodes just fine. Is there still a date and time in the unpublish_on field?

yes there is still a date in the field, nothing special about the node.

Did you unpublish the node manually?

no, it was unpublished by Scheduler.

That should not happen and I cannot reproduce this behaviour.
Quick workaround: Edit the node and delete the unpublish value. Save and edit again, click delete.
