I'm getting the following error when I run 'drush dl ' to download and install a any package:
/usr/bin/drush: line 44: 22595 Segmentation fault /usr/bin/env php $SCRIPT_PATH "$@"
I was able to trace the issue down to the drush_pm_dl() function in commands/pm/pm.drush.inc
The error is generated following the line 787 and seems to have something to do with access to $xml->xpath('/error')
Here are some specifics on the server environment:
Linux version 2.4.21-58.EL (brewbuilder@ls20-bc2-13.build.redhat.com) (gcc version 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-59)) #1 Tue Nov 4 11:47:57 EST 2008
PHP 5.2.11 (cli) (built: Sep 23 2009 12:20:07)

Zend Engine v2.2.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2009 Zend Technologies

Please let me know if there is anything else that might help.

jonhattanPerhaps you can try upgrading the version of libxml.

graytech commentedjonhattan,
Your suggestion was very helpful. We had a rather old version of libxml running on the server. We upgraded libxml and Drush is now running like a well oiled machine ;-)
Thanks again!
