status of dev version, possible production version soon?

Issue Summary

I'm curious if there's going to be a production version of this module soon. It works pretty good now and could include a few fixes noted in other issues, with welcome additions the developers have in mind.

I love the module and use it often. However, I know others that want to use it but cannot because it's listed as "beta" and not an actual release. I wonder if others are in a similar situation. I recommend Exhibit and other Simile widgets as often as possible but ran into this barrier recently.

Also, the Timeline module (http://drupal.org/project/timeline) seems to be rejuvenated and looking good. There may have a new maintainer...not sure. I'd like the Exhibit module to keep moving as well. If there's anything I can do, please let me know. I'd be willing to be a co-maintainer if you like.
