Easiest way to add location map to site
ludo1960 - October 17, 2009 - 16:16
Hello again drupalers,
I want to add a location map to my site, what module would you recommend?
I see there are a few, just not sure which one to go for. I just need a map for a UK postcode.
Thanxs in advance..

location + gmap
I've used location together with gmap. Worked pretty well, but was not straight forward to set up.
Thanks
for that info, that's why I asked the question, any tips?
I abandoned my use of it
I abandoned my use of it really as the locations I wanted to add are not postcode based. You'll probably have more luck than I did as you're using Postcode locations. All the information I needed to get it up and running was on drupal.org, probably among the project pages and documentation.
Point taken
Thanks again, just installed location and gmap. what the **** is that all about? why is so diifficult to get 1 postcode in the UK?
indeed - many hoops to jump
indeed - many hoops to jump through!
Hmm My Mistake..
.. thought I had dowloaded the location and Gmap modules, in fact I downloaded the service manual for the starship Enterprise!
I give up! Thanks for you help though!
Cheers....

I may be reading this wrong, but...
Are you just trying to do a location map for one page on your site? You can always just go to the Google Maps website, look up your location, and use the embed link on the top right.
Completely manual, but if you're doing it for just one page - there's no need to really bring the complexity into it.
My apologies if I'm completely reading your message incorrectly.
Thanks
Chillin, the embed method works just fine! Easiest is best!
Thanks again, Ludo...
Awesome!
Glad I could help :-)
Very...
..much appreciated!
Thanks again....Ludo...
