Notifications module reports updates multiple times per day

Thank you for this excellent module.

The notifications module reports that the video node has been updated repeatedly:

Cron is run every two hours so it's happening more than twice as often as cron is run (which is run every two hours). So I suspect it is not happening during cron, but maybe it is and I don't understand how it could happen twice or more every cron run. And it's consistent every day. I know no one is updating the node from Drupal, so there has to be something in the API interface that is causing this.

I'm not sure why the node is being "updated". I do know that this particular video has copyrighted music that YouTube says no action is required on (they get to sell the track with an ad). In any case, it looks like YouTube is "updating" the node through the API 26 times a day.

My request is that this is either fixed without options or that an option to turn off updates from youtube for specific videos (or for all videos, once uploaded) is provided. Otherwise I am not able to effectively use notifications for the video content type.
