Looking to sponsor the development of the following features into the eNewsletter module for Drupal 4.7, and am looking for people with similar requirements to help out with contributing financially to the sponsorship. These additional features include;

1) Create a new content type, 'enewsletter intro', which you can create like any other content, and assign to a newsletter as the introduction. This would have benefits like use of the Drupal content revision system.

2) Enable anonymous user sign-ups. Create a custom block/page that allows anonymous users to signup to newsletters using only an email address which in turn creates a Drupal account for them based on their email address.

3) User validation. Use Drupal validation to ensure correct e-mail formatting, and use bounce.module to catch undelivered mail.

4) Admin option to delete anonymous sign-ups if not validated after a definable time period.

Total cost: £420GBP

Delivery: This June

Please post here or contact me if you are interested in contributing financially.

Cheers

Sorry, can't offer anything financially, but I am curious. Do you have enewsletter running on 4.7?

cheers!

No. As far as I am aware it is still in beta and works on 4.6 only.

I actually need the feature that allows inclusion of nodes to contents of enewsletter as it is one of my client's requirement.

is the slow development pace mainly due to lack of funds?

brashquido’s picture

Not sure, but last time I was in contact with the Dev he was up to his neck with paying clients, which of course means his "free time" is very limited for dev on eNewsletter. Best to contact him directly though.

no one's paying him to do it so it gets at the bottom of his to do list.
can't blame him.

Hey Rob,

Just interested in knowing where things stand with making enewsletter available in 4.7. I'd be willing to make a donation or help out however I can. I'm a bit of a newbie, but would do what it takes. I've played with this module in 4.6 and it's great.

Cheers,
sean
