Need some advice with regards to Views, Images and overall performance

Hi all,

I'm creating my first ever website which will contain articles with multiple images each.
I was using the Galleria module to display images however, I'm now leaning towards Views Slideshow.
I'm thinking of creating a View for each of my articles and use a block display to show the images.

Could you please advice me with regards to performance?
Which way is better performance-wise?
I might end up having a hundred articles within the first year and I'm concerned that Views might be too heavy.
